I have been a litigator for 20 years. I began as a clerk for a federal district court, helping to write opinions. I then moved to private practice in Alabama where I spent more than 15 years litigating cases and handling appellate matters. I have continued litigating cases and doing appellate work after moving to South Carolina in recent years.

I have extensive appellate and legal writing experience, having written hundreds of briefs in virtually every type of court, including the federal courts of appeals and the United States Supreme Court. A few examples of the types of cases I have been involved in are:
